Well, you might have seen that I'm currently rocking a Sony ZV-1 Vlogging Camera, this is my first video 'out and about' with it..

I've decided to set up a Patreon page to help fund my endeavors in blogging and vlogging and reward those who enjoy it. If you'd like to sign up and support me, then feel free. Here's the link.

Anyway.. we took a 'lockdown' picnic to Castle Park in Colchester last weekend, and it seemed an ideal opportunity to test out Sony's latest shiny.

I have a quick play with the 'HFR' mode (High Frame Rate) and it produces some pretty decent 1080p 250fps video. As well as this I test the 'Background Defocus' mode to see if this face capturing camera is cool with blurring out humans behind it.

I also take advantage of the accelerometer data being saved within the video file and am able to fix a wobbly video in post-production. Then there's a little bit of zooming to capture a socially distant band playing.

It's only a super short video, but I'm blown away by the footage captured. I've not tweaked or touched anything. This is all straight from the camera, recorded in 4k 25fps at 100Mbs. I've used the inbuilt mic for this test too, although I will try my Rode Mics in future.

Any other stuff you want to see me try? Drop a comment and I'll add it into the next video

This video was filmed entirely on the Sony ZV-1 and with a Joby GorillaPod 1K
